Visitation services give children and parents who are involved in the child welfare system safe and supportive opportunities to spend time together. These visits are a critical way for families to stay connected while working toward reunification.
Seneca’s visitation services are provided in family-friendly settings with the guidance of trained staff, who help ensure safety and provide collaborative coaching for parents and caregivers when needed. Our visitation programs offer varying levels of engagement, up to and including therapeutic visitation services, which provide intensive clinical engagement with families throughout the visitation sessions.
For children, visitation is a chance to maintain important bonds, routines, and a sense of belonging. For parents, it’s an opportunity to show caring, strengthen relationships, and demonstrate progress in their case plans. At its heart, visitation is about keeping families together as much as possible during difficult times.
