Resource Family Approval

Seneca Family of Agencies partners with several California Counties to provide Assessments for extended relatives, natural supports, and others interested in becoming County Approved Caregivers.  In these instances, the County will approve and support the family, while Seneca completes the Resource Family Approval through a series of meetings to assess the families’ capacity to care for a child.  Many families in this process are already “matched” with a child, often their relative, for whom they will provide care.  Others are simply interested in providing care to a child in the future through the county.
